How we pick

Every list on EkPick starts the same way: with a long list of real Amazon.in listings for the thing you want to buy, usually around 30 of them. Then we cut.

What we read

• The brand's own product page or spec sheet, wherever we can find one. We use it to check the numbers the listing gives, like wattage, runtime, capacity and warranty, and each figure on a list says which source it came from.
• The Amazon.in listing itself: the model number, what's in the box, and whether it's actually in stock.
• The warranty terms: how long they run and what they cover, wherever the listing or the brand states them.

What we cut

Listings that don't say what they are, such as those with no model number or model name. Listings with fewer than 100 buyer ratings on Amazon.in. Anything that turns out not to be the product the list is about, repeat listings of the same model, and anything out of stock when we check. When a listing we keep leaves out something that matters, like the warranty term, we say so on the page and tell you where to check.

What we never claim

We don't run a lab, and we won't pretend we do. When a page says a trimmer runs for 90 minutes, that's a figure the brand or its listing states, and we tell you which. When a listing doesn't say something, we say that too, instead of guessing.

Why one pick

Most people want an answer, not a ranking of twelve. So each list leads with the one we'd choose for most people, then gives alternatives only where a different need genuinely changes the answer: a smaller budget, a heavier beard, a bigger family.

Money

When you buy through our Amazon.in links, we earn a small commission from Amazon at no extra cost to you. No brand pays to be on a list, and none can pay to move up one.

Keeping lists honest

Listings change. Every month we reopen each listing we link to and check it's still the same product and still on sale. If it has been swapped for a different model, or stays unavailable, we replace the pick. Each list shows the date its listings were last checked. If you spot a mistake, write to contact@ekpick.in.
