The best packing cubes on Amazon.in
The short answer
Mokobara Packing Cubes (Set of 6)
Four clothes cubes plus a shoe bag and a toiletry pouch, with the maker's own page itemising the contents and saying the cubes can be machine washed (the listing itself says wipe with a damp cloth), for anyone who wants cubes, a shoe bag and a toiletry pouch in one set.
- 4 cubes, a shoe bag and a toiletry pouch
- Listed as water resistant
- Mokobara: washable, except toiletry pouch

- If you want eight cubes and a stated return windowFatmug Packing Cubes Set of 8 (600029SWBGA1)
Eight polyester cubes in mixed sizes, with a 10-day return and exchange shown on the listing, for people who want all their clothes in cubes and don't need a shoe bag or toiletry pouch.

Packing cube listings are hard to compare. A "7-piece set" can mean three cubes and four pouches, and most listings give a single set of measurements without saying which piece it describes, rather than the size of each cube.
We read 30 Amazon.in listings and shortlisted 9. Our rules cut sets that gave no model number, among them FLYNGO, Niwlix, OCEANEVO, PETRICE and Ladiosa sets and a large four-cube Fatmug set, and sets with too little buyer history, which took out three, including an EUME set of 4 and a Tressential compression set. We compared the rest on what each set actually contains, the material, the weight and what the listing says about water, washing, warranty and returns. For the Mokobara and Fatmug sets we also read the maker's own product page. Nobody here has packed a bag with these, so this is a reading of listings and spec pages.
Our pick is Mokobara's Packing Cubes (Set of 6): four cubes for clothes, a shoe bag and a toiletry pouch, with Mokobara's page confirming what's in the set and saying the cubes can be machine washed. If you'd rather have eight cubes and a return window shown on the listing, Fatmug's set of 8 is the alternative. If you want cubes that zip down smaller, Lyrovo's 6-piece compression set describes how its extra zip works and gives a capacity for each cube.

Why it's on the list
- 4 cubes, a shoe bag and a toiletry pouch
- Listed as water resistant
- Mokobara: washable, except toiletry pouch
Worth knowing
- Mokobara's page says it does not offer a warranty on its packing cubes and that they are non-returnable and non-exchangeable. That page describes buying from Mokobara; the Amazon.in listing data we read shows no return window either way, so check the return terms on the listing before you order.
- The listing and the brand page disagree on care. The listing's care line says to wipe it with a damp cloth, while Mokobara's page says all cubes except the spill-proof pouch can be machine washed.
- Neither source gives the size of each cube. The listing's 33 x 27 x 3.5 cm is a single figure, and Mokobara's page shows no dimensions, saying only that the cubes line up in Mokobara luggage.
Skip it if you want the return terms confirmed before you buy, or cube sizes in centimetres.
The reasoning
Six pieces, and Mokobara's own page says what each one is for: four roomy cubes for clothes, a shoe bag that zips shut and a toiletry pouch the page calls spill-proof. The page names XL, L and M cubes, the XL for coats and jeans and the M for socks and belts. The Amazon.in listing agrees on the set of 6, gives the fabric as nylon and the weight as 220 g, the lowest item weight on any of the 9 shortlisted listings.
What decided it against Fatmug's set of 8, the other set we could check against its maker's page, is what comes with the cubes. Fatmug's title names only cubes (2 x Large, Medium, Small and Slim) and its listing says nothing about water. Mokobara's listing calls the set water resistant and its page says the exterior material is, and the set brings its own shoe bag and toiletry pouch.
Washing is the other point in its favour. None of the 9 shortlisted listings, this one included, says the bags can be washed. Mokobara's page fills that gap, though its own listing says to wipe with a damp cloth: every cube except the spill-proof pouch can go in the washing machine. Lyrovo's 7-piece set also mixes cubes and pouches (3 cubes and four bags), but for it we have only the listing.
Fatmug Packing Cubes Set of 8 (600029SWBGA1)

Worth knowing
- Fatmug's page carries a different SKU (600038SWBGW1) from the listing's model number (600029SWBGA1), and lists Grey and Orange where the listing is Black. The weight, size and count match, so it looks like the same set in other colours, but match the model number on the listing when you order.
- Neither the listing nor Fatmug's page says how the 8 cubes split across the sizes. The title's "2 x Large, Medium, Small and Slim" can be read more than one way.
- The listing doesn't mention water resistance or washing, and Fatmug's page doesn't either.
- Fatmug's own page offers free returns within 15 days when buying from Fatmug; the Amazon.in listing shows 10 days.
Skip it if you want a shoe bag and a toiletry pouch in the same set, or the set to weigh as little as possible, or cube sizes in centimetres.
The reasoning
This is a set of 8 cubes and nothing else. The title gives the sizes as 2 x Large, Medium, Small and Slim, and the listing describes soft polyester, breathable mesh and handles on the cubes. Fatmug's own page agrees with the listing on the 8 count, the 730 g weight and the 48 x 36 x 9 cm dimensions.
It is the heavier choice, at 730 g against the Mokobara's 220 g, and it has no shoe bag or toiletry pouch. In return you get eight cubes rather than four, and a listing that is plain about the terms: the warranty policy reads "No Warranty" with a 10-day return and exchange. Mokobara's page says its cubes carry no warranty either, and the Mokobara listing data shows no return window.
We put it ahead of Fatmug's own set of 4, which the title describes as four medium cubes. The set of 8 mixes sizes, and it is the one whose page we could read on Fatmug's site.
Lyrovo Compression Packing Cubes, 6 Set (LY-1008-COMP-CUBE)

- Cube capacity
- XL 12L, L 8L, M 6L, S 4LAmazon.in listing
- Warranty
- Not statedAmazon.in listing
Worth knowing
- The listing contradicts itself on the box contents. The feature text says 6 pieces including a laundry bag, but the Included Components field lists a shoes bag and four cubes, with no laundry bag.
- The listing gives no warranty term and doesn't say whether the cubes can be washed. Its Load Capacity field reads only "5 5", and its 21 x 16 x 9.4 cm dimensions don't say which piece they describe.
- Like the Lyrovo 7-piece set, this one has no brand page we could read, so everything here rests on the Amazon.in listing alone.
Skip it if you want a toiletry pouch in the set, or a maker's page to check the listing against.
The reasoning
These work differently from the other two picks. The listing calls these compression cubes. It says an extra zipper around the outside shrinks the space inside when closed, and compares this to a vacuum sealer while saying it is not one. The zips are described as SBS double zippers. The listing claims up to 60% space saved; we have nothing to check that figure against.
It is also the set whose listing says most clearly how big each cube is: XL 12L for winter jackets, L 8L, M 6L and S 4L, plus a 17.7" x 13" drawstring laundry bag and a 17" x 9" x 5" shoe bag. Toifucos's 8-piece set uses the word compression in its title, but its listing doesn't describe any compression zip, so we couldn't tell what it means there.
The trade-off is weight and paperwork. At 590 g it is well above the Mokobara's 220 g, it has no toiletry pouch, and we found no Lyrovo brand page to check the listing against: lyrovo.com redirects to a domain parking page.

- Cut 11 listings whose details gave no model number, among them sets from FLYNGO, Niwlix, OCEANEVO, PETRICE and a large four-cube set from Fatmug, because there's no way to be sure which set would arrive.
- Cut 5 repeat listings of sets already on the shortlist: 4 of the Lyrovo 7-piece set and 1 of the Mokobara set of 6.
- Cut 3 listings with too little buyer history on Amazon.in to include.
- Cut 1 listing with no brand named, and 1 that was a pack of vacuum storage bags rather than packing cubes.
- Compared the 9 that were left on contents, material, weight, closures and what each listing says about water, washing, warranty and returns, and read the maker's own page for 2 of them, from Mokobara and Fatmug.

What we ruled out
- Lyrovo 7-piece packing cubes (LY-134-PC)The closest call. It lists 3 cubes plus a laundry bag, an underwear bag, a shoe bag and a toiletry bag in nylon, at 290 g, so on paper it is a similar mix to the Mokobara, with one cube fewer and two bags more. We went with the Mokobara because Mokobara's own page confirms what's in the set and says the cubes can be machine washed, while for this set we have only the listing, which doesn't mention washing. The Lyrovo compression set has the same gap, but it is on the list for its compression zips, which this set doesn't have.
- Avenux 7-piece travel organizer (AV001)Its listing is useful in places, with a rough shirt count for each cube and a fit for 24-25 inch luggage, but it can't settle what's in the box. The title says 7 pieces, the first bullet itemises 8 (including a zippered bag), the second lists 7 with a cosmetic bag instead, and the Included Components field reads only "bag". Mokobara's listing has its own oddities, but its maker's page itemises the 6 pieces; we found no Avenux page to do the same. The Lyrovo compression pick has a smaller version of the same gap, since its Included Components field leaves out the laundry bag, but its feature text lists every piece with a size; Avenux's two bullets disagree on what the pieces are.
- Toifucos 8-piece packing cubes (S149732)The details table gives the material as Oxford cloth while a bullet calls it nylon fabric, and the Closure Type field says drawstring while the bullets describe double metal zippers. The listing also never itemises the 8 pieces.
- TS WITH TECHSUN 7 in 1 travel organizerOne feature bullet in all, and it doesn't match the details table: the bullet describes 3 cubes, 3 laundry pouches and a shoe bag, while the Included Components field lists 3 cubes, a drawstring laundry bag, an electronics bag, a shoe bag and a zippered bag.
- CRASOME packing cubes, set of 5 (CRM-Cube1-Grey)The listing gives one size, 37 x 8 x 25 cm, and the Included Components field reads only "Packing Cubes", so it doesn't say whether the 5 cubes come in different sizes or what else, if anything, is in the set.
- Fatmug packing cubes, set of 4 medium (600024SWBGA1)Four cubes of one size, by its title. Fatmug's set of 8 comes from the same maker with the same stated materials and terms, mixes sizes, and has a page on Fatmug's site; Fatmug's own search for packing cubes showed a large set of 4 but not this medium one.
Before you buy
Count the cubes, not the pieces
Several 7-piece sets are 3 cubes plus pouches: the Lyrovo LY-134-PC and the Avenux both list 3 cubes. The Mokobara set of 6 has 4 cubes, and Fatmug's set of 8 is all cubes. Read the contents line before comparing piece counts.
Compression means a second zip
In the Lyrovo LY-1008-COMP-CUBE listing, compression means an extra zipper around the outside that pulls the cube smaller once it's packed. A title that just says "compression" isn't enough to go on; check the listing explains the zip.
Don't count on a warranty
Both Fatmug listings say "No Warranty" with a 10-day return and exchange, and Mokobara's page says it gives no warranty on its cubes and that they are non-returnable. None of the other 7 shortlisted listings mentions a warranty at all. Look at the return terms on the listing before you order.
Washing is rarely mentioned
None of the 9 shortlisted listings says the bags can be washed. Mokobara's page says its cubes are machine washable except the toiletry pouch, though its own listing says to wipe with a damp cloth.
